reading room The ETSC library is divided over four locations:

·        The main library

·        The specialized library in the Center for Middle Eastern Christianity (CMEC)

·        The Alexandria branch library

·        The Minya branch library.

Printed Books and Journals

The library contains over 55,000 books, primarily in Arabic and English. Most books can be found in the catalog. The English collection includes many Biblical reference works and Bible commentaries, as well as writings of major theologians from the early church to the present. Special highlights of the collection are rare works on church history and mission, particularly in Egypt. The periodical room of the main library contains a fine collection of printed English theological journals.

Online Books and Journals

The library has a subscription to the digital archives of hundreds of scholarly journals through JSTOR (ask in the main library for access information) and encourages students and other users to register for free to the Global Digital Library on Theology and Ecumenism (GlobeTheoLib), which includes journals, Oxford handbooks, and thousands of other works. For more information on online books and journals, see
